The Bicycle Pro Shop has been serving the local cycling community since 1958. Our Georgetown store has attracted serious riders, commuters and families for over 50 years. In 2008, we opened a new large location in Alexandria, Virginia, just off the Beltway, and convenient to DC and Maryland.
Whether you are looking for your child’s first two-wheeler, a good hybrid for around town or your dream bike, the Bicycle Pro Shop has the knowledge, the experience and the bike to get you where you want to go. We offer a great selection of bikes, clothing and accessories.
Our sales staff is trained to assist you on making informed purchases whether it’s a new bike or a pair of gloves. Our service department is comprised of highly trained and experienced bike mechanics. Our FIT specialists are trained to customize your bike to maximize your comfort, safety and efficiency.
Our Management Team
Serge
Serge, the owner of the Bicycle Pro Shop, revels in riding his Colnago C50 along the roads and paths of DC. As a competitive cyclist for 10 years in his native country of France, Serge is excited to manage a business that brings him so close to the sport that he loves and allows interaction with customers that share his enthusiasm for cycling! He is now a competitive triathlete and recently won his first Ironman competition. He has been married to Jennifer, an architect, for 24 years and has 2 children — André and Alexandra.
Tony
Tony is a shop manager and enjoys taking advantage of the abundance of quality off-road riding in the DC area. Tony’s astrological sign is Taurus.
Noel
Noel is a (multilingual) manager at the Pro Shop, where he has been working for 18 years. He has been racing bicycles in Europe, South America and North America his whole life, and enjoys balancing time riding his Colnago C50, and spending time with his lovely wife Beth and their four daughters.
Eric
Eric, the manager in Alexandria, has always had the cycling bug, at least from earliest memory. With sponsored BMX riders in the neighborhood, and a road racer in the family, he was taught early how to get the bikes back on the road. Since the age of 14, he’s worked in local bike shops, and still finds a sense of success when the right bike finds the right owner.
Tom
Tom has worked at the shop for the past 10 years. In his 25 years as a bike mechanic he worked on famous racers’ bikes and even on presidential bicycles. He is a talented musician and has been married to the beautiful Susan for the past 20 years.
